A new spam policy for 'back button hijacking'

Trump started off his weekend bashing Bruce Springsteen and implying that he has had plastic surgery, then he went after Pope Leo calling him 'weak on crime' and suggesting the only reason he is in the Vatican is because Trump is President.

"It's funny to think how much effort was put into preventing bootlegging, when now everything is being recorded all the time. The few bands that didn't care or even encouraged it reaped the benefits. I was a huge Ween fan in the 90s and bootlegged a show of theirs myself. Camera a"

Trump Rages at Pope Leo, JD Vance Fumbles Iran Deal & Hungary Ousts Viktor Orban | The Daily Show

Jon Stewart dives into the backlash over Trump Jesus-ifying himself with AI, the president claiming he was just depicting himself as a “doctor” (treating a bedridden Jon Stewart?), and Trump starting an Easter beef with Pope Leo. Plus, JD Vance fails to secure a deal with Iran while ALSO failing to get Hungarian strongman Viktor Orban reelected. #DailyShow #JonStewart #Trump #Pope 0:00 - Jon Stew

The Future of Everything Is Lies, I Guess: Work

This is a long article, so I'm breaking it up into a series of posts which will be released over the next few days. You can also read the full work as a PDF or EPUB ; these files will be updated as each section is released. Software development may become (at least in some aspects) more like witchcraft than engineering. The present enthusiasm for “AI coworkers” is preposterous. Automation can paradoxically make systems less robust; when we apply ML to new domains, we will have to reckon with deskilling, automation bias, monitoring fatigue, and takeover hazards. AI boosters believe ML will displace labor across a broad swath of industries in a short period of time; if they are right, we are in for a rough time. Machine learning seems likely to further consolidate wealth and power in the hands of large tech companies, and I don’t think giving Amazon et al. even more money will yield Universal Basic Income. Decades ago there was enthusiasm that programs might be written in a natural language like English, rather than a formal language like Pascal. The folk wisdom when I was a child was that this was not going to work: English is notoriously ambiguous, and people are not skilled at describing exactly what they want. Now we have machines capable of spitting out shockingly sophisticated programs given only the vaguest of plain-language directives; the lack of specificity is at least
